3 DIY last minute gifts

You just haven't gotten around to it. Aunt Martha is now coming for Christmas dinner. There's one more stocking you need to fill. Whatever the reason, here are three super easy and inexpensive homemade gifts for your holiday.

Relaxing Bath Salt Ornament
This is just the cutest thing! If you don't have a clear ornament, then use a small canning jar. These ingredients are probably in your bathroom or pantry. 

Combine 1/2 cup of Epsom Salt, 1 tablespoon baking soda, and 5-10 drops Lavender essential oil. Use a small funnel to pour into a glass container and then decorate. The snowman ornament makes a great gift from the kids. 

Holiday Room Spray
This smells just like the holidays! Christmas Spirit combines Orange, Cinnamon Bark, and Spruce essential oils and is the perfect gift. However, if you don't have these essential oils, just use what you have and come up with a festive label. Fill 1/4 of a glass spray bottle with witch hazel and add your essential oils. Then fill the rest with distilled water and give it a shake. 

Peppermint Body Butter
Be careful making this around small children or older adults. Both may be tempted to taste the mixture! This will make a luxurious body butter, but if you only have coconut oil, then go with that and call it a lotion! 

You'll need 1 cup shea butter, 1 cup coconut oil, 1/2 cup sweet almond oil, and 15 drops of Peppermint essential oil. Over a double boiler, melt shea butter and coconut oil. Remove from heat and add sweet almond oil. Stir and refrigerate until hard. When you can make a fingerprint in the mixture, it is ready. Whip for one minute using a mixer. Add essential oil and whip for five minutes. This makes 6 four ounce containers or 12 two ounce containers. 

If you are just making a lotion, then whip organic raw coconut oil and essential oil for five minutes and then wrap in festive jars! Save the body butter for another time!
