Orange Chocolate Almond Biscotti
This year I made biscotti for the boys’ teachers. The
Christmas gifts were inexpensive to make and easy to package. I opted to bake
the gluten-full biscotti, since the healthier versions cost significantly more
to create. The combination of orange, almond, and chocolate pairs well with
coffee or tea, and this recipe makes a hard cookie that begs to be dunked and
savored.
A couple of helpful notes:
Make sure that the butter is at room temperature.
You could use chocolate chips in place of carob chips. I started using carob chips after my green smoothie cleanse and realized what gluten was doing to my waistline.
This recipe was adapted from A Family Feast blog.
Don't wait till next Christmas to make these, though. They're easy to make and taste great in coffee or tea!
