Orange Foaming Hand Soap
So, we are on spring break and we're loving staying in our pajamas for half of the day. Foaming hand soap is definitely something you can whip up in your pjs. This treat for natural beauty only takes a few ingredients, and it's a fun project to do with kids. Let them be the ones to shake up the dispenser and see the mixture turn into foam!
You'll need to find a foaming soap dispenser. I usually get mine at Target for around $7. Let me know if you find a cheaper one!
The three main ingredients you'll need are distilled water, castile soap, and jojoba oil.
If you don't have jojoba oil, just use grapeseed or olive oil. I love using jojoba oil in this recipe because it is so nourishing and feels velvety on your hands. I reserve this oil for face and skin DIY solutions, since it is very moisturizing and a little more expensive than other carrier oils.
Distilled water will preserve your hand soap for a longer while. You can use filtered or tap water, but you might find that the solution get gummy and you have to change it out before it is all used up.
The very first item to add is one cup of water. If you add the castile soap first, it suds the container up and it's hard to add the other liquid.
Next, add one teaspoon of jojoba oil.
After that add two tablespoons of liquid castile soap.
At this point, you are finished making foaming hand soap! Just three ingredients!
But, I wouldn't stop there. The addition of essential oils will make your foaming hand soap smell absolutely wonderful! I recommend adding orange essential oil, just because I love the smell!

Orange smells so fresh and delightful. Orange brings peace and happiness to the mind and body and joy to the heart, according to Essential Oil Desk Reference. I only recommend Young Living essential oils, since they are the world leader in pure, therapeutic grade oils.
The addition of Thieves essential oil adds a level of protections against germs. However, Thieves is NOT to be used during pregnancy or for children under six months old.
Alright, give it a shake and dispense your foaming soap! You will be amazed at how much money you will save by making your own product. This lasts us about a month in each bathroom.
Let me know how your foaming hand soap turns out!
